About the role

The Church, Tenant & Network Facilitator (CTNF) oversees all of Hope into Action’s (HIA) locations and seeks to recruit a Systems Administrator and Personal Assistant who will assist with the increasing workload. In addition to supporting the CTNF, the successful candidate will administer the daily systems in place and maintain / improve standards and procedures relating to church and tenant matters.

This is an exciting and broad role remit for someone with a genuine interest and passion in working with churches to improve the lives of the homeless and vulnerable. Complete training will be provided, however experience working in administration, staff liaison, supporting vulnerable people or working with church volunteers are all useful. The role intends to bring much needed support to the current staff set up and slot into an existing tightly knitted, dynamic and close staff team.

About you

As with any Hope into Action role, we are looking for someone with a passion for the homeless, social injustice and a commitment to our values and vision. You must be confident and competent to work with church leaders and church members. You will be a highly organised individual, available for 3 or 4 days a week and have experience and expertise in administration.

You will have the ability to self-manage, take initiative and work efficiently under stress to deliver to deadlines. Additionally, you should be able to learn quickly and communicate clearly and concisely in person, verbally and in written form possessing excellent communication skills.

Hope into Action UK is a rapidly growing registered Charity (No. 1137636) that enables churches to give a home to those who are homeless or vulnerably housed.

Established in 2010 we now have over 70 homes in 25 locations across our Network. Peterborough, Norwich, Cambridge & Nottingham are our line managed cities and the other towns and cities (from Northumberland to the Isle of Wight) are our Franchise Friends. Every home is in partnership with a local church who support the 2-4 adults (or family) living there, who all have various needs. These could range from debt to addiction; ex-offender to ex sex-worker; rough sleeper to refugee. Tenants are homed with us for up to two years. During this time they address the obstacles which were preventing them from securing independent accommodation through strength based and tenant-led development plans and realistic goal setting.

  • 24 - 32 hours per week i.e. 3-4 days (negotiable).
  • £ 19k - £ 22.7k pro rata; depending on experience
